- In the app, open Settings › Delete my account. No app? Use the form below.
- Your account is deleted within 30 days.
- You can also delete only part of your data and keep your account.
1. How to request deletion
In the app
Open Settings and tap Delete my account. Because you are already signed in, no further check is needed.
On the web
- Send a request with the form below (choose “Delete my account or data”), or email query@folkytalk.com from the address linked to your account.
- Confirm it is you. We send a one-time code to the email address or phone number on your account, or ask you to reply from that email address. We never delete an account without this check, so nobody can delete yours.
Either way, your account is deleted within 30 days.
2. What is deleted
- Your profile: name, username, profile picture, email address and phone number.
- Reviews about you, your results and your AI summaries.
- Your self-review.
3. What may be kept, and for how long
- Reviews you wrote about other people are detached from you: nothing links them to you any more. They stay, anonymous, as part of those people’s results, together with their private comments, which are never shown to anyone.
- Server logs: deleted automatically after 90 days.
- Messages you sent to support stay in our support inbox until we delete them. Ask us if you want them removed.
- Legal and safety records: if your account was involved in a safety report, a legal claim, or a request from the authorities, we keep the information needed for as long as the law requires.
- Your deletion request itself (date and the fact it was done), to prove we honoured it.
- Combined statistics that do not identify anyone.
4. Delete some data, keep your account
You can ask us to delete only certain data, for example your profile picture. Use the same form and tell us what you would like removed.
5. Reviewed, but never joined?
If someone reviewed you and you do not have a FolkyTalk account, we keep a pending profile so the review can reach you. You can ask us to delete it, together with the reviews about you, and to never contact you again: choose “I was reviewed and want to opt out” in the form.
